Marianne has been drawing and painting since early childhood.
Immediately after high school, she took several painting and sculpture classes, then followed for several years by painting classes at the Stedelijk Museum with painter Peter Schenk.
At the time, she also attended and completed the evening course at the Kleine Academie in Amsterdam, affiliated with the Rietveld Academy.
Marianne also took teacher training in drawing and textiles. In this she also taught at a school in Amsterdam.
She initially worked with various materials such as oil paint, pastel, watercolor, gouache, etc. In recent years, mostly with acrylic.
She works out of her own studio.
In addition, Marianne makes and paints objects.
She regularly works on commission and exhibits nationally and internationally, in both galleries and museums.
She has won several awards, both nationally and internationally.
Marianne is a member of the VAK.
