Marianne has been drawing and painting since early childhood.<\/p>\n\n

Immediately after high school, she took several painting and sculpture classes, then followed for several years by painting classes at the Stedelijk Museum with painter Peter Schenk.<\/p>\n\n

At the time, she also attended and completed the evening course at the Kleine Academie in Amsterdam, affiliated with the Rietveld Academy.<\/p>\n\n

Marianne also took teacher training in drawing and textiles. In this she also taught at a school in Amsterdam. <\/p>\n\n

She initially worked with various materials such as oil paint, pastel, watercolor, gouache, etc. In recent years, mostly with acrylic.<\/p>\n\n

She works out of her own studio.<\/p>\n\n

In addition, Marianne makes and paints objects.<\/p>\n\n

She regularly works on commission and exhibits nationally and internationally, in both galleries and museums.<\/p>\n\n

She has won several awards, both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n\n

Marianne is a member of the VAK.<\/p>\n\n

Marianne signs her works under the name MARFEL<\/p>\n\n
